How CFA Piling Works

CFA piling is a replacement piling method that allows piles to be installed without leaving the borehole open, significantly reducing the risk of soil collapse and groundwater issues.

Drilling with Continuous Flight Auger

APCC uses specialized CFA piling rigs equipped with continuous flight augers to drill to the required depth in a single, uninterrupted operation. The auger remains in the ground throughout the drilling process, providing continuous support to the surrounding soil.

This makes CFA piling highly effective in loose sands, soft soils, and areas with high groundwater levels, which are common across many regions in the UAE.

Concrete Placement and Reinforcement

Once the design depth is reached, high-quality concrete is pumped through the hollow stem of the auger as it is slowly withdrawn. This ensures the borehole is fully filled with concrete under controlled pressure, preventing soil ingress.

After concreting, steel reinforcement cages are carefully inserted into the fresh concrete to complete the pile installation.
